We provide custom-built geodesic domes for alternative living, greenhouses, play ground spaces, sleepouts and event spaces. Our domes are made in New Zealand where possible from sustainably grown timber and NZ steel, and we offer plans, connectors, and fully built options - whether you?re a DIY builder or need us on site. Simple, strong, and scalable domes for practical people who want something different.

What we do

Geodesic Dome Frames

We can build a frame of any size however we focus on dome frames under 30sqm or 6.3m in diamter - this means it's easy for you to construct our domes on land in NZ without needing council consents! We also manufacture steel tube dome frames with NZ steel at a really good price too!

Geodesic Dome Connectors

We have developed our own sturdy steel connectors made here in Wanaka, NZ to construct a dome using almost any solid timber. Connectors for a V2 dome 4 to 6m would be around $800+GST and for larger V3 domes 6m+ $1850+GST

Living Domes

We offer a 6.3m diameter (29.5 sqm floor) 'living' dome option, waterproof canvas shell with 140mm NZ wool blended insulation. Cost is around $26,500+GST depending on features. Price includes free installation in the South Island but not delivery.

Geodesic Dome building Plans, templates, jigs

We can customise a set of plans for you to build your own geodesic dome given your dimensions and availble timber you want to use. We also provide precision cutting templates to use to cut the right angles using a drop saw or table saw.

    1 window, 1 Door, 6mm Dual Wall Polycarbonate external cladding, LVL timber framing, metal brackets and fasteners/fixings - (best built on a raised bed edge as it's shorter and doesn't have vertical sides for the first ring)

  • 6.3m diameter V3 version 3.7m high

    1 window, 1 Door, 6mm Dual Wall Polycarbonate external cladding, LVL timber framing, metal brackets and fasteners/fixings.

  • Limited Offer

    These 5 dome prices include on-site help with your kit installation after you have got your foundations/groundwork fully complete. Please contact us for more details. Delivery/travel is charged from Wanaka but no fee is charged for our on-site help.

  • Groundwork/Foundations

    All groundwork/foundations/footings/edgings etc is your responsibility - we can help you choose the best options for your foundations etc and this needs to be completed before we ship/install your dome.
